U.S. solar photovoltaic power generation (U.S. solar photovoltaic power generation system case)

The United States solar photovoltaic power generation system case
On Wednesday, local time, the U.S. Biden administration released a report showing that by 2035 the United States is expected to achieve 40% of its electricity from solar power, and by 2050 this ratio will be further increased to 45%.
The U.S. Department of Energy detailed the important role of solar energy in decarbonizing the U.S. power grid in the Solar Future Study. The study shows that by 2035, without raising electricity prices, solar energy has the potential to supply 40 percent of the nation’s electricity, driving deep decarbonization of the grid and creating up to 1.5 million jobs.
The report notes that achieving this goal will require large-scale and equitable deployment of renewable energy and strong decarbonization policies, in line with the Biden administration’s efforts to address the climate crisis and rapidly increase the use of renewable energy across the country.
The report projects that achieving these goals will require up to $562 billion in additional U.S. public and private sector spending between 2020 and 2050. At the same time, investments in solar and other clean energy sources could bring about $1.7 trillion in economic benefits, partly through the health costs of reducing pollution.
As of 2020, installed U.S. solar power capacity has reached a record 15 billion watts to 7.6 billion watts, accounting for 3 percent of current electricity supply.
By 2035, the report says, the U.S. will need to quadruple its annual solar power generation and provide 1,000 gigawatts of electricity to a grid dominated by renewables. By 2050, solar is expected to provide 1,600 gigawatts of electricity, which is more than all the electricity currently consumed by residential and commercial buildings in the United States. Decarbonization of the entire energy system could generate as much as 3,000 GW of solar energy by 2050 due to increased electrification of the transportation, building and industrial sectors.
The report states that the U.S. must install an average of 30 million kilowatts of solar power capacity per year between now and 2025, and 60 million kilowatts per year from 2025 to 2030. The study’s model further shows that the remainder of the carbon-free grid will be provided primarily by wind (36%), nuclear (11%-13%), hydroelectric (5%-6%) and bioenergy/geothermal (1%).
The report also recommends that the development of new tools to improve grid flexibility, such as storage and advanced inverters, as well as transmission expansion, will help move solar to all corners of the U.S. – wind and solar combined will provide 75 percent of electricity by 2035 and 90 percent by 2050. In addition, supportive decarbonization policies and advanced technologies will be needed to further reduce the cost of solar energy.
According to Huajun Wang, an analyst at ZSE Securities, a 23% CAGR is assumed, corresponding to a single year of installed capacity in the U.S. expected to reach 110GW in 2030.
According to Wang, “carbon neutrality” has become a global consensus, and PV is expected to become the main force of “carbon neutrality”:
Over the past 10 years, the cost of photovoltaic kilowatt-hour has dropped from 2.47 yuan/kWh in 2010 to 0.37 yuan/kWh in 2020, a decline of up to 85%. Photovoltaic “flat price era” is approaching, photovoltaic will become the “carbon neutral” main force.
For the photovoltaic industry, the next decade of demand ten times the big road. We estimate that in 2030 China’s new PV installation is expected to reach 416-536GW, with a CAGR of 24%-26%; global new installed demand will reach 1246-1491GW, with a CAGR of 25%-27%. The installed demand for photovoltaic will grow tenfold in the next ten years, with huge market space.
Need for “major policy” support
The solar study is based on the Biden administration’s larger plan to achieve a carbon-free grid by 2035 and decarbonize the broader energy system by 2050.

The infrastructure package passed by the U.S. Senate in August included billions of dollars for clean energy projects, but several important policies were left out, including extending tax credits. Still, the $3.5 trillion budget resolution passed by the House in August could include these initiatives.

The U.S. solar industry said the report underscores the industry’s need for “significant policy” support.

On Wednesday, more than 700 companies sent a letter to Congress seeking a long-term extension and increase in solar investment tax credits and measures to improve grid resiliency.

After years of policy shocks, it’s time to give clean energy companies the policy certainty they need to clean up our grid, create millions of essential jobs and build a fair clean energy economy, said Abigail Ross Hopper, president of the American Solar Energy Industries Association.

Hopper emphasized that a significant increase in installed solar capacity is achievable, but “significant policy progress is needed.

What is the concept of modern service industry? This concept is unique to China and is not mentioned abroad. According to some domestic experts, the so-called modern service industry is relative to the traditional service industry, including some new forms of service industry, such as information technology and services, finance, real estate, etc., and also includes the adoption of modern means, tools and business forms for the traditional service industry.

In addition to the traditional and modern classification, there is also the classification according to the service object, that is, the service industry is divided into three categories: one is the service industry for consumption, one is the service industry for production, and one is the public service. Among them, the public service is led by the government to provide, and the service industry for consumption is still well developed in China, but the middle category, that is, the service industry for production, also known as productive services, the gap between China and the international developed countries is very large.

Photovoltaic industry is usually understood to belong to the secondary industry, but, in fact, photovoltaic also covers the service industry, and, belonging to what our country calls modern service industry, the main content of which also belongs to the category of productive service industry. In this article, some discussion on this. Here, I will photovoltaic industry covers or involved in the service industry, called photovoltaic service industry.

Solar power station in the United States
The world’s largest solar power station, located in the United States California and Nevada border place. The name is Ivanpah Solar Power Station, covering an area of 8 square kilometers. Generally, solar energy is considered to be the only inexhaustible natural energy source. Ivanpah solar power plant erected 300,000 solar panels, responsible for collecting energy to generate electricity.

Researchers have found dozens of burnt and burned birds and some other wildlife within the boundaries of the world’s largest solar power plant, the Ivanpah Solar Power Plant. As considered by humans to be the only inexhaustible natural energy source but is destroying the environment.
